Gold tie pin, complete with a short chain and pin attachment. The tie pin is decorated with the WRNS crest, which consists of a depiction of an anchor, a naval crown and a wren. There is a scroll motif below the crest which is executed in blue enamel and bears the inscription 'WRNS Never at Sea 1917-1919'. The tie pin is contained within a green leather Mappin & Webb case and can also be worn as a brooch.
