Bronze band from Nelson's Column
Bronze band which supported the arm of the statue on Nelson's column, Trafalgar Square, before restoration. Two holes at the end of the band were secured by a screw which is still attached (ZBA4408.4).
The three bands were placed round the left arm above the elbow in 1880-1890 after a lightning strike and were removed in 2006.
