Contract for Bellerophon (1786)

A 24 page Contract for Bellerophon (1786), 74-gun Third Rate two-decker, between the Admiralty and Edward Greaves & Company of Limehouse in the County of Middlesex, signed 19 January 1782.

The contract seems to have been recycled to include dimension dated 1805 relating to the Fame class (1799) ordered in 1805. The dimensions listed are 175ft length of deck, 144ft length for tonnage and a breadth 47ft 6 inches. The details relate to those ships ordered on 31 January 1805; including Marlborough (1807), York (1807), Hannibal (1810), Royal Oak (1809), and Sultan (1807).
