Deep sea thermometer in box. Frame of box is grey painted brass. Frame has been cut in half to remove the thermometers as the screw cap on the frame is jammed. There are two thermometers mounted side by side in a glass tube. One is graduated -5°C to +45°C the other -2°C to +25°C. There is a clamp with a plunger attached to a length of chain; a plate attached to a short length of chain and a sinker which is hinged to allow it to be secured to a line.
