Alacrity (1856), Coquette (1855), Vigilant (1856) and Wanderer (1855)

Scale 1:48. Plan shows the sheer lines, longitudinal half breadth and body plan for the despatch vessels Alacrity (1856), Coquette (1855), Vigilant (1856) and Wanderer (1855). The drawing bears the signature of Admiral Sir Baldwin Wake Walker [Surveyor of the Navy 1848-1860], John Edye [Assistant Surveyor of the Navy and designer 1832-1855], Isaac Watts [1st Assistant Surveyor, 1848-1860] and M. F.F. Berkeley [position unknown flourishing 1855]. There are annotations on the plan stating copies were sent to the shipbuilders Messrs Green, Messrs Ware, Messrs Wigram and Sons, Messrs Fletcher, Messrs White and Messrs Young, between 17 May and 28 July 1855.There are tears along the top and bottom edge of the drawing with a large crease near the middle.
