Account written by an unknown crew member relating to HMS NILE's commission, 3 July 1891 - 18 June 1893, on the Mediterranean station

The volume, illustrated with photographs and clippings, includes detailed descriptions of the ports and harbours of the Mediterranean, and also a lengthy description of the collision between HMS CAMPERDOWN and VICTORIA - the NILE was the next ship in line and picked up survivors of the tragedy.
