'Cruizer' (1852); 'Hornet' (1854)
Scale 1:48. A plan showing the inboard profile and section through the keel of the 'Cruizer' (1852) and the 'Hornet' (1854), both 17 gun screw sloops of the Cruizer class. The plan has been signed by John Edye and Isaac Watts [both Assistant Surveyors of the Navy in 1851].
Notes on the plan read as follows:
'Hornet as in black ticked lines Jan 1854'.
'Cruizer copy of profile and plan of Upper deck sent to...Tracings of Channels and Scuttles sent to Deptford'.
'Cruizer The Alertations connected with shifting the foremast and mainmast 3'-10" transferred to the profile...fore the Yard. Sent to Deptford with Engineer drawing 23 Oct 1851'.
