HMS Crescent (1892) in drydock, Bermuda
A starboard bow view of HMS Crescent (1892), a First Class Cruiser, in the floating drydock at Bermuda after having run aground off Antigua. Note the close fit of the forecastle under the bridge of the drydock. The ship had to be lightened 6000 tons by taking out about 2000 tons, all the guns and shields (except casemate guns), and other equipment and belongings. She was docked on 15 February and despite a schedule of 12 weeks, was completely repaired and undocked on 15 April.
