Sessions at the National Maritime Museum, the Queen’s House, Cutty Sark and Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre

Home education groups are welcome to book any facilitated learning session for schools. Onsite sessions are charged at the same rates as those advertised for schools, with a maximum number of 30 learners (inclusive of all accompanying adults and siblings) per session. The minimum group size is 15 people.

Facilitated sessions are pitched at the level of the majority of learners in the group.

Self-guided visits to the Cutty Sark are available to home education groups at the reduced rate of £90 for a group of up to 30 people (including all accompanying adults and siblings) or £45 for a group of up to 15 people (including all accompanying adults and siblings).

 

Sessions at the Royal Observatory Greenwich

Home education groups can book into one of our Discovery Day sessions. On a Discovery Day you can choose from: a planetarium show with an Ask the Astronomer session, a planetarium show only, a visit to the historic north site, use of the lunchroom or a combination of these! You can also visit our mini exhibition gallery in the planetarium foyer. The theme of the images changes every so often to tie into a seasonal astronomy focus.

Facilitated sessions are pitched at the level of the majority of learners in the group.

See below for visit pricing, the minimum amount of learners is 15. For self guided visits to the Royal Observatory Greenwich, home education groups can receive the discounted schools rate of £1 per head.

Planetarium show £100 for a class of up to 30 £50 for a class of up to 15
Workshop + planetarium show £160 for a class of up to 30 (20% discount) £120 for a class of up to 15 (20% discount)

Alternatively, home education groups can book an online Ask the Astronomer session which can be delivered through Zoom or Teams.
