In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Navy Board has been unable to reach an agreement with shippers to transport Stores to the Straits; but Aron Smyth, Master of the SPEEDWELL Hagboat, has offered to convey a hundred tons of goods provided he is allowed to sail with the Dutch convoy if it departs before the English convoy. Instructions are given for allowance to be made in the contract to be issued by the Navy Board for Smyth to sail as he sees fit. An order is given for the TIGER to be brought up to Deptford for repair, to be paid off on arrival, and to be put in Ordinary.
