In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Court Martial held on board the LONDON at Blackstakes. Present: Captain Stafford Fairborne, Commander-in-Chief of His Majesty's ships and vessels in the Thames and Medway. Captain Gother, Captain Crow, Captain Townsend and Captain Wavell. Court considered that John Curling, Pilot to be guilty of negligence under the 25th Article and fines him £20 to be paid to the Governor of the Chatham Chest.
