In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to cause the DOVER Prize, lately ordered to be fitted at Hylake, to be cleaned and refitted there for a voyage to Virginia and victualled for eight months for her middle Complement of Men, reduced from her present number.
Notwithstanding our late Orders concerning the BONAVENTURE hired Ship, as soon as the Ordinary and Riggers of the Deptford Yard have carried her to the Hope, we direct you to order them to return forthwith to their Works again, and give directions for some of the Men belonging to the Ships now refitting in the River Thames immediately to go on board BONAVENTURE and assist in getting in her Guns and Provisions and then return to their Ships.
A Warrant was granted by this Board on the 19th November appointing John Baules Carpenter of the ESSEX. In case the same has passed your Office you are to recall it.
