In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Navy Board has reported on Second, Third and Fourth Rate ships both sheathed and unsheathed which are in good condition as regards the condition of their hulls and which are fit to proceed to the West Indies including the NORWICH which the Board claims has been sheathed; but a letter from her Commander contradicts this claim. A complete and up to date list of all ships which have been sheathed together with the names of those being sheathed is called for as a matter of urgency.
