In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Copy of a letter from Captain Stewart in which he explains that John Brown was put ashore having received a wound in action. He notes that as Brown was unable to return to his ship within a given time a [Q] was put against his name. Stewart asks for the [Q] to be removed and vouches for Brown's good conduct.
