In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Certification that Mr Francis Turner, late Gunner and Mr John Lewis, Boatswain of the VANGUARD, have served for 24 years on board their Majesties' ships, and by reason of age are unfit to serve any longer and are dismissed. I humbly recommend them to your Lordships and desire that provision be made for an allowance for them according to the usual custom of the Navy for superannuated officers. Signed R.
