Receipts for money carried on HMS SYREN, 1799.

Receipts received by Gosselin in command of HMS SYREN (1782), relating to money carried as freight, to the orders of John Gordon, Deputy Paymaster General in the West Indies:

(1) Receipt for a case containing 3,465 dollars, signed by Lieutenant J. Nicholls, Acting Paymaster, 45th Regiment, at Dominica, dated 8 June 1799.
(2) Receipt for 2,310 dollars on account of subsistence, signed by Lieutenant Archibald McIntyre, Acting Paymaster, 7th West Indian Regiment of Foot, at Prince Ruperts, Dominica, 10 June 1799.
(3) Receipt for two boxes containing a total of 7,465 dollars on account of subsistence, signed by Lieutenant John Borland, Acting Paymaster, 38th Regiment, at the Saints, 11 June 1799.
(4) Receipt for a bag containing 850 joes (?), signed by Campell Brown, at Antigua, 14 June 1799.
