Letter from George Scott to the Admiralty, specifically to HRH The Duke of Clarence Lord High Admiral of Great Britain, explaining that he had served for 15 years as a Commander but had not been given command of a sloop before the end of the war and was therefore not able to obtain Post Rank, and asking to be granted employment in order to obtain the promotion.
