In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
On the 15th inst. I was ordered by Admiral Sir John Ashby to Portsmouth for refit at all dispatch. She wants 50ft. of Sails, and has sick [rusty?] Iron in her Keels and bilges. I think the ways of this Dockyard are so low I think that trouble is to come. Signed by Captain Simon Foulkes, Commander of HMS MONTAGUE.
