In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Extract of a letter from Captain Papwell Commander of the BETTY Hired ship in which he relates that both he and the TIGER have come in to Kinsale together with Merchant ships for shelter. He also states that he lacks beer and there is none to be had in Kinsale nor in Milford. He adds that the Provisions put aboard his ship in Milford have proved to be very bad causing much sickness.
