In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Enclosure: Extract of a letter from Sir George Rooke in which he reports that the JERSEY sailed from Spithead for Arundel to bring down two ships laden with plank for Plymouth leaving the ship bound for Shoreham behind due to a lack of Provisions, by which time the CHARLES GALLEY, LIZARD, MAIDSTONE and GLOUCESTER would also be ready for sea but for lack of Provisions as there is practically no bread, beer or meat left in the Stores in Portsmouth obliging the YARMOUTH to go to sea with only three months provisions.
