In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty have been pleased to appoint me Commander of the PARAMOUR Pink, and to order me to give sufficient security for the Wages that shall become due to the Ship's company. Your Honours have also commanded me to lay before you a List of the number and quality of the Persons I design to take with me. They are as follows:- 1 Chief Mate; 1 Mate and Gunner; 1 Surgeon; 1 Boatswain; 1 Carpenter; 10 Foremast Men; 2 Boys. With myself, Mr Middleton and his servant there will be in all twenty Persons. The voyage intended will be about ten months according to the common course of Navigation.
