Diary kept by Harold Crofton between 10 July 1918 and 14 November 1918 on HMS CURACOA. His records note that he could speak German and his diary begins with someone ask for German books to be sent to them, summary of each day is in the margins. Also included is a series of letters from Harold to his mother written in 1915 on HMS ARETHUSA, concerning rescuing officers and the King lunching on board.
