Papers relating to the Mitchell family
The papers include accounts of service for both Major Thomas Mitchell RM and his son, Commander Thomas Mitchell RN. The papers of the younger Mitchell, who was present at the bombardment of Algiers in 1816 on board the IMPREGNABLE, include an order of battle issued by Pellew in the Mediterranean c.1812, and a copy of a song written by a Marine aboard the IMPREGNABLE, August 1816
