All re: organisation and control of women's war work, including Welfare Supervision work and Canteen Control; general VADs administration and the supply of staff; and the use of Devonshire House, Piccadilly, London as HQ of the new branch, AG11, which controlled the organisation of the Women's Auxiliary Army Service. Includes correspondence between Katharine Furse, Commandant-in-Chief of the Women's VADs, and various correspondents (see printed list for further details).
