Furse Papers - file, 'Women Power', containing correspondence, memoranda, telegraphs, newspaper cuttings and draft letters, 15 Nov 1916-13 January 1919. All re: the organisation of women's war work, including within the Army; VAD members working with the sick and wounded, and in ordnance work, including in France; the YMCA Munitions Canteen Committee; and the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps in France. Correspondence is between Katharine Furse, as Commandant-in-Chief of the Women's VAD and Director WRNS, and various correspondents (see printed list for further details).
