In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Enclosure relating to item 54. Copy of a letter from George Evans Justice of the Peace in Southwark to Lord Carmarthen in which instructions are given to the Constable of Brixton to search for seamen for service at sea. The letter refers to the various difficulties and discourtesies encountered in grappling with the task and closes with naming the six men delivered to the Navy Office.
