Journal kept by Frederick Arthur Buckley, 1 October 1910 to 1 August 1914. During this period Buckley served on the battleship HMS ST VINCENT (1908) in the Home Fleet and then at the gunnery training establishment HMS Excellent at Portsmouth. The events include the Coronation Naval Review at Spithead on 24 June 1911 and Buckley's marriage to Eva Sophie Ingeborg Godskesen at the church of St Margaret, Westminster Abbey, on 2 October 1913. The journal includes postcards, newspaper cuttings, theatre programmes and other souvenirs.
