In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have thought fit to appoint Mr Phillip Stubbs, Rector of the Parish of Woolwich, to the office of Minister and Preacher of the Word of God, on board ships and vessels lying in ordinary and rigging at Woolwich, in place of the former removed from that place. You are directed to give order and warrants to the Treasurer of the Navy to have Mr Phillip Stubbs duly paid fourpence per month for every man paid on board or belonging to their Majesties' ships and vessels in ordinary or rigging wages at Woolwich. He shall hold this place until further order and his warrant is to be dated 13 June 1694.
