Aaron Lufkin Dennison : an industrial pioneer and his legacy /by Philip T. Priestley.
Comprehensive account of the life and work of Aaron Lufkin Dennison, one of the co-founders of the American Watch Company of Waltham. The book covers his career from 1849 as a watchmaker and parts supplier in the USA to his role in manufacturing in Zurich, and his final career as a watch case manufacturer in England, where he died in 1895. The book contains the history of subsequent Dennison family businesses and includes detailed information on individual watch cases, including expedition watches such as the water-resistant case produced for Shackleton's Endurance expedition.
