Les Anglais ayant coupe la ligne Francaise, le Redoutable, Ct Lucas attaque le Victory monte par l'Amiral Nelson, trois fois il tente l'abordage, lorsque pris en flanc par le 3 Ponts le Temeraire, dont une bordee lui met 800 hommes hors de combat il est force d'amener son pavillon sur les debris fumant de son vaisseau.
