Man in costume playing with fire before a crowd

An oil sketch drawn by William Lionel Wyllie. The sketch has been rendered with loose brushwork, it may be unfinished. It depicts a man playing with fire in front of a crowd, likely at a festival or fete. The sketch is depicted as being outside, on grass. The man is wearing a brightly coloured costume which could be mock historical with yellow jacket, red bands around his knees, red shoes and a black cap. The man is standing next to a black stand or brazier which holds some burning logs. The man appears to be juggling with blazing batons or logs. To his left there is a figure with black jacket and brown trousers but his head is unfinished, he may be carrying a rod of some kind. The crowd is made up of some defined figures and in other areas the crowd is implied with blotches of colour. None in the crowd has defined features. Two figures in the crowd seem to have horned hats. The figure nearest the right in the crowd appears unfinished. There is what is assumed to be a signature in the bottom right hand corner.
