The Union Flag flying

An oil sketch drawn by William Lionel Wyllie. It depicts two union flags flying. The flag on the right hand side has folded over itself in the wind. The top right hand corner of the left hand flag has folded over in the wind. The flag poles are indicated by two thin loose lines on the left hand side of the flags. There is no background and it does not seem that the flags were intended to be depicted in a real setting but are in fact studies. There is extensive water damage on this sketch and blotches of black oil paint.
