On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the engine room between 49 and 57 stations on 4 deck looking aft and to starboard from 54 station on the port side of the middle platform showing the port gearcase. Stairs on the right lead down to the lower platform and against the aft bulkhead in the centre are the stairs leading up to 2 deck.
