On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the operations room between 31¼ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking to port and aft from the centreline at 32½ station showing a wooden bench to the left of the S.O's. bathroom door with a group of fuse panels against the aft bulkhead. On the right is a visual display unit alongside a radar type 944 mixer control unit. In the centre is an illuminated stateboard in front of a G.D.S. Mk. 5 G.D.O. sight relay cabinet with an air plot board and a target indicating console beyond. Against the port side of the ship are a display power unit and the target indicating unit Mk. 5 cabinet B.
