On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the operations room between 31¼ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking forward and to starboard from the centreline at 34½ station showing the captain's chair on the extreme left with the A.S. plotting table next to it. Alongside the plot is a bearing and range console with a telephone and an electric fire fitted to it. On the right is the wooden bench of the Alt. G.O.P. position with two display power units under it. A bookshelf is against the starboard side.
