On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the bridge wireless office between 32½ and 35 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard showing the positions of four operators. Each bay is equipped with a morse key and a mix of B40 and B41 CAY receivers. A bookshelf is above the centre two bays. On the right are two CUJ racks, a transmitter and a transformer.
