On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the bosun's store and the lamp and paint store between 2½ and 6 stations on 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 4 station showing a steel bench with drawers and cupboards under against the forward bulkhead. Shelving racks, storage bins and a vertical steel ladder are against the aft bulkhead. A shelf rack between the bulkheads has a 15 gallon paint mixing tank at the inboard end of it. Between the shelf racks is the starboard chain pipe. A strongback, shell chutes and shell chute stays are against the starboard side and a shelf at high level contains wire mesh nets.
