On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the main passageway (known as the Burma Road) between 23 and 30⅔ stations on 2 deck looking forward and to port from 26 station showing the door into the gun bay on the right with a cable stowage bracket next to it. The door to the communication control room receiving section (CCR(RX) is on the left with a damage control locker and a portable emergency generator beyond it. The watertight door at 23 station is open. A vertical format negative.
