On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the electronic warfare office between 35½ and 38¼ stations on the centreline of 1 deck looking to port from 37 station showing the servicing bench and the position of the UA3 operator. The servicing bench has drawers and cupboards under and a notice board with an area risk state board above. On the desk of the UA3 operator are an amplifier and display unit, an interphone unit, a radio remote control unit and a morse key. A power supply box is at low level against the port bulkhead.
