Beaver (1856), Foam (1856), Wave (1856)

Scale 1:24. Plan showing the part profile from engine room to stern, a plan of the engine and boiler bearers, a section from forward looking aft and a section from aft looking forward for Beaver (1856), a wooden 'Crimean' single screw gunboat to be built by Money, Wigram & Son, Northam and engined by John Penn & Sons with a 60HP engine. The profile shows the positions of the boiler, engine and propeller shaft for the 6ft single-bladed propeller. The plan is also relevant to the October 1855 ordered Foam (1856) and Wave (1856), which were never completed as gunboats due the end of the 'Crimean War'.

The other gunboats in this class Goshawk (1856), Opossum (1856), Partridge (1856), Delight (1856), Grappler (1856), Growler (1856), Parthian (1856), and Quail (1856) were built by Money, Wigram & Son and supplied with Maudslay, Sons & Field engines.
