Loading the Ford Cortina Mark 2 Estate car, registered YYV557H, on board the Avenue Shipping Co. Ltd cargo liner Galway (1959) in the South West India Dock, London. The photographer is on the edge of the quayside abreast the ship's superstructure looking aft at the nearside of the car as it is being lifted towards the ship's number five and six holds by a Stothert & Pitt crane. The port side of the afterpart of the ship is on the left of the picture and the ship's hull is very high out of the water. Transparencies numbers P64960CT to P64963CT were taken on the same occasion.
