The BOAC Canadair DC4-M4 airliner named Antiope and registered G-ALHR standing on the tarmac at Nicosia airport in Cyprus. It is seen from the port side, ahead of the wing. The aircraft was first registered on 23 February 1949. The photographer, Henry P. Bird, was heading home to the U.K. having been discharged from the tanker Caltex Melbourne (1945) at Bahrain.
