A slightly distant port side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the Lowestoft registered, ketch rigged drifter Narcissus (1901) under sail in The Downs. She has all sails set, including a staysail boomed out to port, and is probably on her delivery voyage from Brixham to Lowestoft. Her port registry LT 305 is on her hull and the mainsail. Beyond her, and steaming a parallel course, is the coastal passenger/cargo liner Copeland (1894). The camera has not been held steady during the exposure. A note of the negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
