A starboard side view, looking aft and to port from the quayside close to the bridge, of the Royal Navy torpedo ram Polyphemus (1881) berthed alongside the New Mole, Gibraltar. Her guns have canvas covers. Everything forward of her mast and the top of her mast are out of the picture. Members of the crew are on the mole with wicker baskets during coaling.
