The Royal Navy turret ship Devastation (1871) alongside the New Mole at Gibraltar.

A bow view, taken from almost dead ahead, of the Royal Navy turret ship Devastation (1871) alongside the New Mole at Gibraltar. She is abreast the coaling shed and a pontoon is between her and the mole. Suspended from her port side anchor davits is a balsa life raft, also known as a copper punt. The top of her mast is out of the picture. She is serving as the port guardship for Gibraltar. Vertical format.
