Folkestone aux. luggers
The starboard bow quarter of the Folkestone lugger Joan of Arc (regd FE15) is shown from a distance of ca. 50ft with the lugger Garland (regd FE210) astern of it, both on legs at low tide in Folkestone harbour. Alongside the Garland is a dinghy or punt with a man standing by it, apparently placing some equipment aboard. Behind both luggers and further to the right stand imposing buildings above the harbour quays. A stain on the negative obscures part of the mizzenmast of the Garland on the left of the image.
