Hythe, Kent fishing vessels

This image of the Hythe fishing board Gratitude (regd FE46) aground on legs on shelving shingle shows it to be a twin-engined auxiliary boat with twin three-bladed propellers, either side of the keel deadrise beneath the clinker-built lute stern. To port of the Gratitude is the similar auxiliary fishing boat Unity. To starboard at a greater distance is the stern of a clinker-built punt or dinghy, with its name, The Albert, and that of its owners, W. & H. Griggs, written on its transom.
