Eastbourne fishing boats

This view of the beached Eastbourne lugger Nona (regd NN66) taken from the stern quarter clearly shows the shape of its elliptical stern, and the propeller whose shaft tube runs through the keel deadwood, denoting a single auxiliary engine. The lugger is heeled over to port on Eastbourne's shingle beach. A mizzen mast at the boat's stern appears to belong to the next boat beyond the Nona; likewise an apparent steel structure on whch are painted the letters IRON MAN.
