Newquay gigs

In the foreground two gigs are seen from above and astern, ashore in Padstow harbour. A third is partly obscured by a carvel-built motor launch. A fourth, clearly named Gypsy, is upside down to the left. Each of the gigs in the foreground has seven rowing thwarts. Between them is a small punt, with a larger one on the left seen from astern. Among other boats in this crowded harbour scene, the starboard side of a beamy fishing boat forms the right-hand border of the image, with a wooden net winch fixed to its bulwark.
