St Ives pilchard driver at Newlyn under aux. sail

A St Ives-regd pilchard driver is seen from the starboard stern quarter under sail off Newlyn, with St Mary's Church in Penzance in the distance across Mount's Bay. With little wind apparent, the pilchard driver is bearing off from a broad reach, with her mizzen more loosely sheeted than her mainsail. The helmsman is standing in the stern, a crew member stands on deck amidships, and a third crew member is bent to a task below deck in the open fish hold. The boat's name is visible neither on the hull nor on either sail.
